In steeping time more than 15 minutes doesn't give much more caffeine. During 1 min about 1/3 to 1/2 of caffeine is extracted (compared to 5 min) and during 3 min it is about 75% - 85% (compared to 5 min). Per they measured 1 min vs 3 min vs 5 min on different teas. Steeping time and temperature affects caffeine content.
